Over the course of twenty-five years, Decker Ross Interiors has created some spectacular interiors in various JMC developments. But the opportunity to actively participate in the reinvention of the historic Belleview Biltmore property in Belleair, specifically the residences at Belleview Place, was a particular honor. Senior designer Marci Tempesta took the lead on the project, starting with her award-winning design in the Carriage Home Model A. She was subsequently asked to design the lobbies and models in the mid-rise buildings, beginning with the Alamanda, which offers spectacularly expansive views of the Belleair Country Club Golf Course, the Intracoastal Waterway and the iconic Belleview Inn and pool.

Showcased here is the Mid-rise Model C, in which Tempesta created a sophisticated urban design aesthetic featuring earthy natural elements with a bold brown and black color palette. A departure from the dark teal and champagne tones used in the lobby, Tempesta’s talent, creativity and depth of design knowledge is evident not only with her color choices, but because of her attention to detail as well. Asian influences and geometric shapes provide a common design theme throughout, and points of interest and whimsical touches delight the eye in the designer’s choice of accessories, art and lighting. Showcasing different styles to appeal to a variety of potential buyers’ tastes and lifestyles, this timeless, sophisticated design is eliciting positive feedback and contributing to the popularity and success of Belleview Place.

The kitchen’s color palette and warm caramel plank floors are balanced by light, bright and airy finishes. Unique pendants cast light on the natural stone countertops, highlighting the various color tones in the veining and providing cohesiveness to the overall design. Roped back rattan counter stools add the perfect functional finishing touch to the island.
Art with an Asian flair in concert with selected bold brown geometric and linear patterns punctuates the monochromatic ivory and rich toffee color palette in this sophisticated master suite. A hand-forged branch chandelier creates a focal point in the recessed tray ceiling, while dark espresso wood furnishings add richness to the soft, textural fabrics and carpet.
Creative elements on the Gallery Wall repeat the geometric motif, adding interest and a dimensional focal point above the plush sleeper sofa. Live edge wood, glass and metal pieces are contrasted with soft custom color block drapery panels on the balcony’s sliding doors.
The grand salon’s expansive wall of windows is softened by geometric drapery panels, adding a decorative touch without impeding the natural light or lovely view beyond. Natural elements and textures are emphasized throughout the design, evidenced by the use of live edge wood sisal, stone, glass, metal and a variety of upholstery fabrics, lighting and accessory selections.
