After enduring years of cold, grey winters, this mid-western family truly desired a fun, relaxing, “beachy” vacation “getaway” at the SandPearl Resort on beautiful Clearwater Beach. Designer Marci Tempesta managed the entire project for them, which included the selection and installation of new flooring in the main living area and paint throughout.

Due to the clients residing out of state, presentations were sent electronically and samples were mailed to them, to keep the project moving along smoothly. This removed the stress of constant trips back and forth and avoided delays in the design and renovation process.

Marci captured this family’s vision by providing a fun and relaxed, “beachy” vibe through the use of coastal and tropical furnishings and accents. A soft blue/green color palette created a calm, light and airy ambiance that reflected the beautiful gulf waves on the beach below. Dark woven, rattan furniture pieces and accents, provided some textural contrast to various neutral accessories and selected fabrics and finishes throughout. A nice focal point in the dining area was the textured drum pendant Marci selected. Color blocked drapery panels and a custom stripe painted headboard wall added unique design elements to the bedrooms. The last time the clients saw their newly purchased condo, it was empty and had aging carpet and paint; so they were very excited to return to a remarkably transformed vacation home!
